This is a very ancient Chinese system of healing and re-balancing for mind and body. The exercises involve specific movements and a sound for each of the internal organs and their meridians:-
Regular Tai Chi does help with depression but you have to be well enough to get to the class! Lack of motivation is the biggest hindrance to accessing the benefits of Tai Chi. Once you are there, and attending consistently, you have the opportunity for a real transformation.
The Tai Chi Form is a series of postures and we simply move from one to the next. Counting may be used to indicate where each posture occurs.
This is an important aspect of our Tai Chi development. The intention is to align the body and calm the mind.
We can think of normal walking as controlled falling.
